News, Past Events

December 12 to 14, 2025 : To advance the high-quality development of the global traditional food and nutrition industry and to promote international collaboration in the nutrition sector, the Association of Certified Professional Nutritionists (ACPN) has been invited to serve as an international co-host of the First Global Traditional Food and Nutrition Industry Development Conference & Expo. The event will be held from December 12 to 14, 2025 at the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center in China. It is jointly organized by the China Food and Drug Enterprise Quality and Safety Promotion Association, China General Chamber of Commerce, National Public Nutrition Improvement Project Office, and China National Research Institute of Food & Fermentation Industries. Other international co-hosts include the Asia-Pacific Trade Agreement Chamber of Commerce and the European Chinese General Chamber of Commerce.

Under the theme “Inheritance & Innovation · Global Collaboration,” the conference will focus on global resources, technologies, standards, achievements, and trade in traditional food and nutrition products. The event will feature an opening ceremony, high-level closed-door sessions, international exhibitions, and parallel forums. Participants will showcase traditional foods and nutrition products from around the world, sign international cooperation agreements, and explore pathways for standardization, regulation, and global development — driving the industry toward greater scientific rigor, functionality, and sustainability.

ACPN stated that participation in this conference is not only an international recognition of its long-standing commitment to evidence-based nutrition science and health education, but also a new bridge for Canadian and North American natural health product manufacturers, functional food developers, and nutrition educators to connect with the global market. During the event, ACPN will share Canada’s experience in public nutrition improvement, evidence-based nutrition system building, and functional nutrition product innovation, showcasing both academic and practical achievements in the international nutrition community.

As a co-host, ACPN will actively support the promotion of standardized, evidence-based efficacy frameworks, foster scientific validation and international recognition of natural health products, and help small- and medium-sized enterprises, innovative brands, and regional specialty products step onto the global stage. The ACPN Board commented, “Through this collaboration, we aim to facilitate dialogue among nutrition experts, producers, and research institutions worldwide, working together to build a more transparent and reliable global nutrition and health product ecosystem.”

The conference is expected to attract government representatives, international organizations, research institutions, business leaders, and media from around the world, providing a high-level platform for exchanging ideas and creating win-win collaborations. The outcomes of the conference will serve as a valuable reference for advancing global nutrition and health initiatives, enhancing public nutrition levels, and strengthening industry standardization — ultimately delivering safer, scientifically validated, and higher-quality products to consumers worldwide.
